The wittiest spiel for blocks around, home made hamantashen, groggers, the whole Magilla - Havurat Shalom's Purim party is great fun and you should join us! And of course, there'll be spiel between reading chapters of the Book of Esther. As an extra treat this year, one of the chapters of the Magilla will be leyned in Yiddish! Costumes encouraged, but not required. We'll be providing a pizza and salad dinner, suggested donation $5.
The Havurah is again participating in Yad Chessed's Purim tzedakah program. Yad Chessed provides food assistance and other aid to Jewish families in need. Half the funds we raise on Purim will go to Yad Chessed, and half to the Havurah's own tzedakah fund. Last year we raised $487.00. Help us top that number this year!
