Seeking fluent Hebrew/English speaking companion for speech/communication related tasks
Male married Israeli retiree, post stroke, looking for ongoing afternoon help for 3 hours, twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays preferred but negotiable). I am ambulatory and able bodied, no personal care required; my language center was affected by my stroke. I was fluent in Hebrew and English, but my English was more effected than my Hebrew. Speech, reading, and writing are difficult for me. I am already communicating much better than I was at first. I need assistance in speech-related concerns (e.g. emails, speech therapy homework). The routine will be shown to you by my husband. We are looking for a responsible and committed person who is fluent in both English and Hebrew. Comfort with LGBTQ a must. A commitment for a minimum of one year is preferred. 2 references required, and a group meeting with us and our Social Work Care Manager is expected. We are located in Jamaica Plain, on both the Orange line and bus route 39. Pay $18/hour. If interested, please email shaidan@aol.com

Positions are part-time, flexible in hours and location, and provide valuable supervised experience that may be helpful for college or employment purposes.
