Ivy Marwil

Ingredients
4 ounces (squares) bittersweet chocolate
1/2 pound unsalted butter (2 sticks)
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup flour
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate and butter. Add sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour, add marshmallows, chips, nuts, and vanilla. Pour into pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until barely done.

These are wet when they are done, so after they cool, I put the pan in the refrigerator for the brownies to firm up and then I cut them into small squares.

Ivy Marwil is a psychotherapist in private practice and lives in Providence, Rhode Island. She is married and has two sons in college and says her guys are her best fans and love to eat all the goodies she makes. This recipe is one of five of Ivy's that was published in the "Too Busy To Cook" section in Bon Appetit about ten years ago. (And now it's been published on ShalomBoston.com!)
